It's been a tough one. Prices sky-high. North American governments are imploding. About halfway through, I opted out and dove into the 18 and early 1900s. At least in terms of the Home Arts. Specifically embroidery and crochet. I look at these as an art form, one that's slowly dying out. It's time for a revival, and what better time than the start of 2024?

When I speak of revival, I also mean recovering those particular traits that identify as Canadian and that we seem to have lost through the isolation of Covid. What happened to our courtesy, caring, level-headed and practical dealing with others and with our troubles? Too many of us seem so angry. I get it.

And so I spin my webs, remind myself of what we were and bring it back to life one thread at time.
